In the Catalonian municipality of San Pedro de Ribas, close to Garraf National Park, is the old Corral d’en Capdet farming estate, with its three buildings: a barn, a countryhouse, and Can Tomeu, the old sharecroppers’ dwelling. These were to be turned into lodgings. Lluís Jubert – Taller d’Arquitectura drew up the base design and the working project, although only Can Tomeu was carried out, with Andrea Solé supervising.
Over the remains of the perimetral stone walls rises the new house serving rural tourism, maintaining the volume and height of the 19th-century construction. With large square windows framing views of the surroundings, the two-story renovated main volume connects at ground level with the smaller two annexes, containing the kitchen and sitting room.
