Ryue Nishizawa. Fluid Forms

31/05/2020

Among the many peculiarities of SANAA, the most important Japanese studio in the current international scene, one is its confederal structure, thanks to which its two founders work as a team but can also each carry out projects on a solo basis. In the case of Ryue Nishizawa, born in Tokyo in 1966 and in professional partnership with Kazuyo Sejima since 1995, the independent practice is channeled through an office set up in 1997 whose identifying trait is a formal and organicist radicality. Arquitectura Viva presents three recent works of his: the Jining Art Museum (China), the Ochoquebradas House (Chile), and the Terasaki House outside Tokyo.
