Canyon View Accomodation Arizona competition winners

Organized by Arquideas for students and recent graduates of architecture, the Canyon View Accommodation (CaVa) Arizona international competition brought in 149 entries from 29 countries. The idea was to design a temporary housing space for visitors to the Grand Canyon of Colorado. The jury – including Patrik Schumacher, Wolf D. Prix, Francisco Mangado, and Fermín Vázquez – has given first prize to Andrés González-Meneses of the Madrid School of Architecture; second prize to Andrea Torres Íñiguez, Andrés Rebuelta, and Jaime Rodríguez-Vigil of the European University of Madrid; and third prize to José Ignacio Llorens González, Dionisio Leva Soldado, and Inmaculada Martín Cabello of the Seville School of Architecture. And there are five honorable mentions: Javier Senosiain and Pablo Garbayo Osés of the University of Navarre; Cristián Araya of the University of Concepción (Chile); Carlos Delgado Gallego, José Romera, and Ángel González Doce of the Seville School of Architecture; Iñaki Josu Martínez de Zuazo Valero of the University of Navarre; and Daniel Uribe of the Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Mexico).
