The territory is horizontal and so is the architecture of this new school with accommodations for students. Around a central agora, the buildings stretch out like a fan in Makeneya, in Tanzania’s Tabora region, adapting to the gentle reliefs of the savannah landscape. Named ‘Nativity Secondary School,’ the building by José Durán and Daniel Moreno of SSS (Spanish Studio of Space) takes in 400 students and also addresses needs of nearby villages. The project was carried out by Spanish architects, with the cooperation of the Norwegian ONG eQuality.
