Luis Fernández-Galiano, Observatorio d’Achtal architectural award

Every year, the independent observation and reflection group Observatorio d’Achtal rewards excellence in different areas of Spanish and Ibero-American culture. In the 9th cycle, a jury including Jorge Eduardo Benavides, Esther Bendahan, Jean-Luc Bloüet, Guillermo Corral, Carlos Franz, Joanna Karasek, Mercedes Monmany, Álvaro de la Rica, Almudena Solana, Blanca Soto, and José Antonio de Ory has decided to give Luis Fernández-Galiano the architecture award, which Rafael Moneo received last year. Other 2017 awardees are Carmen Iglesias in the essay section, José María Guelbenzu in literature, Isidoro Valcárcel Medina in plastic arts, and more. The awarding ceremony will be held on 14 June in Madrid.
