Museum of the Ancient Nile competition winners

 
Organized by Arquideas for students and recent graduates of architecture, the Museum of the Ancient Nile (MoAN) international competition brought in 264 entries from 44 countries.The objective of this competition consists in conceiving of a museum that will submerge visitors in the ancient Nile and become an essential experience for tourists who wish to comprehend how Egyptian civilization proliferated. The jury – including Xander Vermeulen, Ione Ruete, Marisa Santamaría, Pilar Calderón and Silvia Perea – has given first prize to Diego Botella, Álvaro Jiménez, Omar Páez and Yacme Mangrané of the Zaragoza School of Architecture; second prize to Najda Djuhara, Dennis Cahya Indra, Rama Dwiwahyu and Ahmad Zabel of the Indonesian School of Architecture; third prize to Daniel Carvalho of the Porto School of Architecture. And there are five honorable mentions: Juan Lobera, Juan Muñoz and Luis Valdemoro of the Madrid School of Architecture; Pablo Laguna and Antonio Merino of the University of Granada (Spain); Milena Jaramillo and Daniel Felipe Osorio of the University of Colombia; Merad Alimohammadi, Milad Salehivasegh and Amir Haghshenas of the University of Teheran; and Erly Aquise, Víctor del Carpio,  Estefania Estofanero and Jose Parede of the University of Peru.
