Beatriz Olalla of IDOM has headed the project to fully refurbish two buildings of the company Red Eléctrica in the technology park of Tres Cantos. The refurbishment includes an enclosure that will put the building in line with new energy efficiency requirements. Also, new training facilities on the campus will bring in more users, making it necessary to modify existing spaces so that they are more open, more representative, and more recognizable. Other changes are a curtain wall replacing the existing facade solutions, a protection system of galvanized steel, enhancement of the interior courtyard, and a redistribution and optimization of communal spaces. The interior courtyard leads to the classrooms and meeting areas, improving natural lighting and ventilation.
