Coinciding with its 25th anniversary, the Barcelona practice of Jordi Badia (BAAS Arquitectura) has received several distinctions for its Department of Radio and Television at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. Besides the award in the Panorama of Works section of the 14th Biennial of Spanish Architecture and Urbanism, held recently in Santander, this refurbishment of a factory construction was distinguished on three different occasions in Poland. The radio and TV faculty was named the year’s best building in the country by the Association of Polish Architects (SARP) and the magazine Polityk, and it won the jury prize of the platform for architecture and design Bryla.
