Francisco Mangado, Selinunte International Prize 2019
The Italian Association of Architecture and Criticism (AIAC), headquartered in Rome gave its 9th Selinente International Prize to the Navarre-born Francisco Mangado, in recognition of his professional career. The distinction is each year awarded to acknowledge the contribution of an architect, or a group thereof, to the discipline, and seeks to boost talent by promoting the Selinunte-Castelvetrano area of Sicily as a laboratory for both Italian and international architectural culture. The previous winners are Daniel Libeskind, Massimiliano Fuksas, Mario Bellini, Benedetta Tagliabue, Dominique Perrault, William Alsop, Allies & Morrison, Odile Decq, and RCR Arquitectos.
The awarding ceremony was held on 15 June at the Selinunte Archaeological Park.
