David Chipperfield Architects to build Rolex USA HQ in New York

The British firm David Chipperfield Architects has won the international competition to build the tower that will replace the one that has been occupied by the Swiss watch manufacturer Rolex since the 1970s, on the corner of 5th Avenue and 53rd Street in New York. The 25-floor, 15,329-square-meter office building will feature a Rolex store at street level. The design complies with sustainability requirements and aspires to LEED Platinum certification issued by the US Green Building Council.
