On the Indonesian island of Bali, within the Badung regency and the Seminyak beach town, we find this OMA project carried out under the direction of David Gianotten, an exclusive hotel complex that combines guest amenities with spaces accessiblt to the public at large, usurping the traditional concept of private resorts closed to its surroundings.
Raised over the ground, the square-shaped structure surrounds an open public plaza where a variety of events can be held, besides exhibition halls and restaurants. The construction references Balinese craft traditions and local materials, juxtaposing lattices and elements of textured concrete.
