OOIIO Arquitectura, terraced houses in Madrid

The Madrid firm established by Joaquín Millaìn Villamuelas, OOIIO Arquitectura, built these two houses in the Montecarlo residential area of Madrid’s Fuencarral-El Pardo district. Adapted to the particular needs of two different families, the designs present personalized configurations – such as one dwelling having an inner patio and the other not – without showing the variations on the outside. Vertical volumes of rough brick sticking out of the facade form shadows and protect the homes against the sun.
AV Monografías 226 - SOU FUJIMOTO AV Monographs

Arquitectura Viva 227 - KAAN Arquitectura Viva
covers current topics, taking stock of recent trends in set sections: cover story, works and projects, art and culture, books, technique and innovation. From 2013 on, monthly and bilingual, with Spanish and English texts printed side by side.
AV Proyectos 99 - FOSTER+PARTNERS AV Proyectos
is the third member of the AV family: a bilingual publication essentially focussed on design projects (with special attention on competitions and construction details), heretofore only laterally dealt with in the other two magazines.
