Museo del Agua en Palencia, MID Estudio

Un antiguo depósito de grano situado a orillas del río Carrión flanqueando la Dársena del Canal de Castilla en Palencia ha sido rehabilitado como Museo del Agua por el estudio MID, dirigido por David Serrano Amatriain y Maier Vélez Olabarria.

El principal elemento de la intervención es un lucernario que recorre longitudinalmente la cumbrera del edificio (abajo), vertebrando los diferentes espacios del museo y dotándolos de luz. Una fuente-lámina de agua atraviesa el espacio de la exposición permanente; en ella se reflejan las ‘cajas de luz’ suspendidas del lucernario.
