Emilio Tuñón will build the Wine Dome and Francisco Mangado in collaboration with Juan Herreros the Technology Dome, having won the latest competition for Duero Domes, a project of the regional government of Castilla y León that seeks to leave a mark in five provinces – Soria (Energy), Burgos (Heritage), Valladolid (Wine), Zamora (Technology) and Salamanca (Water) –, all at strategic locations along the Duero River. The Energy Dome, put to competition in 2008, also went to the Madrid office of Mansilla+Tuñón and is currently under construction. Other finalists this time around were Nieto Sobejano, Sauerbruch Hutton and RCR Aranda Pigem Vilalta for the Wine Dome, and Sancho-Madridejos for the Technology Dome.
