Jean Nouvel has at last been officially declared the winner of the competition for the National Art Museum of China in Beijing. The French architect participated in collaboration with the Beijing Institute of Architecture Design (BIAD). Nouvel’s design was shortlisted last year, along with those of Zaha Hadid and Frank Gehry, but in spite of news that it had won, the information had not been confirmed. The French daily Le Figaro has published images of the project.
