‘The Architect is Present’: biografía de Anupama Kundoo

Born in Pune (India) in 1967, Anupama Kundoo set up her studio in Auroville in 1990. Her work focusses on the study of materials and experimentation to produce an architecture of low environmental impact and adjusted to its socioeconomic context. Kundoo worked in Berlin in the field of social housing between 1992 and 1996, year in which she went on to work in India. Between 2002 and 2004 she was ‘advisor on sustainable design’ for ICAEN, as part of a project for the European Commission. In 2008 she earned her doctorate at TU Berlin. She has taught at several schools, such as London’s Architectural Association, TU Darmstadt and TU Berlin. She taught until 2011 at Parsons New School of Design and currently teaches at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. From September 2014 she will teach at the ESAYT, School of Architecture of the UCJC Madrid.
