Javier Larraz & Ignacio Olite, urban intervention in Pamplona

In an ideas competition called to develop, in Pamplona, the plot of land currently occupied by the School of the Salesian Society, which includes the block bordered by the streets Leyre, Media Luna, San Fermín, and Aralar, the jury including Víctor López Cotelo selected that of the Navarrese team formed by Javier Larraz and Ignacio Olite over 67 other entries. The winning project involves raising apartment blocks, a civic center, and a shopping area, and organizing the volumes in a scheme of parallel lines flowing in a north-south direction. The operation seeks urban continuity through integration with Pamplona’s fabric, connecting with the nearby Media Luna park and with both existing and future pedestrian routes.
