Zaera denies plagiarism accusations

Alejandro Zaera, who had to step down as dean of Princeton’s School of Architecture on 30 October 2014, at the request of the university president, after being accused of plagiarism in texts of his that were presented in the Facades section of the Elements of Architecture exhibition and book at the Venice Architecture Biennale, has now released a statement denying the accusations and attaching a letter that Rem Koolhaas (Biennale curator who commissioned the texts in question) addressed to the university president in his defense, where the Dutch architect explained that Zaera had omitted credits in his texts on the understanding that they were not of an academic nature. We reproduce below Zaera’s full statement and Koolhaas’ letter.
