Winners of Cosentino Design Challenge 9 awards

Cosentino Design Challenge is an international competition for students that seeks to promote research into layout of spaces, materials, and construction systems. The ninth edition has brought in 278 entries and three first prizes have been awarded in two categories, architecture and design, for a total of six 1,000-euro awards.

The theme of the architecture competition was ‘Playground: Fun with Surfaces – Umbrales de convivencia,’ and the winners were ‘Lightside’ by Alejandro Mosquera (A Coruña School of Architecture), ‘Ghost Playtown’ by Manuel Ruiz (Granada School of Architecture), and ‘Materia Viva’ by Cecilia López (Madrid School of Architecture).

The design theme was ‘Cosentino and Celebration’ and the three top winners were ‘Multicelebrations Space’ by Jonathan Balderrama ((UDABOL University of Aquino, Bolivia), ‘Jelly Beans’ by Jorge Luis Ríos (Escuela artediez, Madrid), and ‘Kanyon’ by Léa Le Boucher, Maëva Jalu, Ysaline Daguy, Marie Boutiller, Anaïs Cipriano, and Julie Saunier (ESAM Design Paris).

AV Proyectos 91 - OFFICE AV Proyectos
is the third member of the AV family: a bilingual publication essentially focussed on design projects (with special attention on competitions and construction details), heretofore only laterally dealt with in the other two magazines.
