A project of the team formed by two young Sevillian practices, Eovastudio and Bakpak Architects, has capped first prize in the international bid to raise a mixed-use development in the southeastern Polish city of Rzeszow. On the historical Potter’s Square, the 25,000-square-meter complex will contain a hotel, apartments, and stores, enclosing a large public space in the central core of the building. This meeting place, called the Potter’s Court, is inspired in the ceramic traditions of the area and it presents rounded and conical shapes. Outside, the slanting facades present a faceted composition without exceeding the height of the neighboring constructions.
