Chicago Athenaeum Awards 2016

The winners of the latest International Architecture Awards, given yearly by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, have been announced. The 132 works awarded include five Spanish buildings: the Asturias Museum of Fine Arts in Oviedo , by Francisco Mangado; la House for a man and a tree in Mutilva (Navarre), by Taller Básico de Arquitectura (TBA); the Catalan Institute of Economists in Barcelona , by Roldán + Berengué; the Language Center of the UV in Valencia, by Arkítera; and the Daoíz y Velarde Cultural Center in Madrid, by Rafael de La-Hoz. An exhibition showing selected works by these architects is on view through 31 October at the Contemporary Space Athens, in the Greek capital.
