The Barcelona-based team Módulos Vivendi, which includes urban planners, environmentalists and specialists in modular architecture, has won the competition to rebuild the neighborhood of San Fernando in Lorca. With a project under the slogan ‘Modulor.K’, the team aims to turn the tragedy of Lorca into a new opportunity to create an exemplary sustainable city, a ‘collaborative city’ where citizens, the administration and promoters are all together the authors of a ‘Neighborhood Plan’. The project proposes a concrete base module, easily transportable and stackable, the immediacy of which allows generating multiple results adapted to alterations or extensions of the program, or to the different needs that may arise over time...[+]
